Trello
Connect Trello to Quin to automatically create cards, update task details, and manage your boards based on meeting notes and action items.
Quin connects to Trello to create and manage cards based on your meetings and conversations. When Quin captures action items or commitments, they're logged to your Trello boards automatically—so nothing falls through the cracks after a meeting.
Before you begin
- Your Trello account must be active
- Connect Trello under Settings > Integrations
How to set it up
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Select Trello
- Sign in to your Trello account when prompted and grant Quin access
Your Trello integration will now appear as 'Active' in your Integrations page.
What to expect
After connecting Trello, Quin creates and updates cards based on action items and commitments captured during your meetings. Cards include details like title, description, due dates, assignees, and labels. You can also ask Quin to search, move, update, or complete cards across your boards using natural language—for example, "Move the proposal card to In Progress" or "Create a card for the follow-up we discussed."
How it works
Quin works with both lists and cards in Trello. For lists, Quin can search, create, and update them across your boards. For cards, Quin can create, update, move, complete, archive, and delete them—deletion requires your explicit confirmation before Quin proceeds. You can also add comments or attach files and URLs to cards directly through Quin. Card searches support filters like board, list, due date, label, and assignee.
Troubleshooting
Quin isn't creating cards after my meetings
- Confirm your Trello integration shows as 'Active' in Settings > Integrations
- Check that Notetaker is enabled and joined the meeting
- Verify that action items or commitments were captured in the meeting recap
Quin can't find a specific board or list
- Confirm you have access to the board in Trello
- Try asking Quin using the exact board or list name
Cards aren't updating as expected
- Check that the card name you're referencing matches what's in Trello
- Verify your Trello account has edit access to the board
A card I didn't want deleted was removed
- Card deletions require your explicit confirmation before Quin proceeds
- Review recent Quin conversations for any delete confirmations you may have approved
