Fireflies
Connect Fireflies to Quin to automatically turn your meeting transcripts into summaries, CRM updates, tasks, and follow-up emails — plus search your transcript library directly from chat.
Before you begin
You need an active Fireflies account with a connected API key. The Fireflies integration requires a valid API key to authenticate — you can generate one in your Fireflies account settings.
How to set it up
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Click Add Integration
- Select Fireflies from the list
- Enter your Fireflies API key and click Connect
Your Fireflies integration will now appear as connected on your Integrations page, and Fireflies will show up as a notes source in your Notetaker workflow.
What to expect
Once connected, Fireflies works as a notes source for Notetaker. After each call, Quin picks up your Fireflies transcript and runs the same post-meeting processing it does for any other Notetaker source — generating summaries, updating your CRM, creating tasks, and drafting follow-up emails, based on your guidelines. You can also ask Quin to search your Fireflies transcript library directly by keyword, date range, meeting organizer, or participant, or retrieve a full transcript by ID.
How it works
Quin has access to two things through Fireflies:
Notetaker processing — Fireflies transcripts feed into your Notetaker workflow automatically, so each call gets the same summaries, CRM updates, tasks, and follow-up emails you'd get from any other Notetaker source.
Transcript search tools — Quin can search your Fireflies transcript library using keywords (matched against meeting titles and transcript text), date ranges, organizer email, or participant email, and can load a full transcript directly using a Fireflies transcript ID.
Troubleshooting
Quin isn't creating follow-up actions from my Fireflies transcripts
- Check that your Notetaker workflow is turned on and configured the way you want in Settings > Workflows > Notetaker
- Verify the Fireflies integration is still connected in Settings > Integrations
Quin can't find a transcript I know exists
- Try searching by a keyword that appears in the meeting title or a specific phrase from the conversation
- Narrow your search with a date range, organizer email, or participant email
- Verify the integration is still connected in Settings > Integrations
The integration won't connect
- Check that the API key is correct and was copied in full from your Fireflies account
- Confirm your Fireflies plan includes API access
- Try generating a new API key in Fireflies and reconnecting
Transcript content isn't showing up as expected
- Fireflies only returns transcripts that have been fully processed — recordings still in progress won't appear
- If a meeting is missing, check whether it was recorded and transcribed in Fireflies before asking Quin to find it
