Connecting Monday.com to Quin lets you check board structures, find and update items, and attach files without leaving your conversation.
Before you begin
You need an active Monday.com account with permission to connect third-party integrations.
How to set it up
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Click Add Integration
- Select Monday.com from the list
- Click Connect and sign in to your Monday.com account
- Select the boards you want Quin to access
- Click Allow access to complete the connection
Your Monday.com integration will now appear as connected in your Integrations page.
What to expect
After connecting Monday.com, Quin can look up a board's structure, find and update items, and search your knowledge base articles based on your conversations. You can ask Quin to add an item to a board, update a status or column value, archive a completed item, or attach a file, and Quin handles it without you opening Monday.com. Quin checks a board's groups, columns, and settings before creating or updating items, so updates land in the right place with the right values.
How it works
Quin has access to three types of Monday.com tools.
Board tools — Quin can retrieve a board's structure, including its groups, columns, types, and settings. Quin checks this before creating or updating items so it knows what's expected.
Item tools — Quin can search, retrieve, create, update, archive, and delete items, and attach files to them.
Article tools — Quin can search your Monday.com knowledge base using AI-powered search, or retrieve a specific article by ID.
Troubleshooting
Quin can't find a board I know exists
- Check that the board is shared with the Quin integration in Monday.com's connection settings
- Try giving Quin the exact board name
- Verify the integration is still connected in Settings > Integrations
Quin isn't updating the right column or item
- Tell Quin the exact column name or item name when making your request
- If the board has custom column types, Quin may need to check the board's structure first, try rephrasing your request with more detail
Updates aren't appearing in Monday.com
- Refresh your Monday.com board to see the latest changes
- Confirm the integration shows as connected in Settings > Integrations
- Check that the board you're working with is shared with the Quin integration
