Connect Lawmatics to Quin to automatically update contacts, matters, and companies with meeting notes and tasks. Ask Quin questions about any case or client to quickly find what you need without searching through Lawmatics.

Lawmatics organizes information around contacts, companies, and matters, so Quin keeps all three connected and current as your cases progress.

Before you begin

You need a Lawmatics account with permission to authorize integrations for your firm.

How to set it up

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations and select Lawmatics.
  2. Click Connect Account.
  3. Sign in to Lawmatics and confirm access for your firm's account.
  4. Once authorized, your Lawmatics integration will appear as connected in your Integrations page.

What to expect

After connecting, Quin automatically syncs meeting notes, tasks, and activity to the right contact, matter, or company in Lawmatics. When you mention a client or case during a conversation, Quin finds the matching record and updates it, so you don't need to re-enter what was just discussed. You can ask Quin questions like "What's the status of theHarrison matter?" or "When did I last speak with a client" and get an answer pulled directly from Lawmatics. Quin can also create new contacts, matters, tasks, and notes as they come up, and tag them to match how your firm organizes cases.

Managing your Lawmatics records

You can control how Quin organizes information in Lawmatics through Guidelines. Guidelines are instructions that tell Quin how to handle your meetings and records, like "Always tag new matters with the practice area" or "Always create a task for follow-up documents after intake calls." Guidelines help Quin keep your CRM organized the way your firm already works.

Troubleshooting

Quin can't find a contact or matter

  • Check that the contact or matter name matches exactly what's in Lawmatics
  • Try searching by email address or matter number instead of name
  • Verify the Lawmatics integration still shows as connected in Settings > Integrations

Notes aren't attaching to the right matter

  • Mention the matter name or number explicitly during the conversation so Quin can match it correctly
  • Confirm the matter exists in Lawmatics before the meeting takes place

Tasks aren't being created

  • Add a Guideline confirming when Quin should create a task versus just a note
  • Check that Quin has permission to create tasks in your Lawmatics account

Files aren't showing up where expected

  • Confirm the file is linked to the correct matter or contact
  • Check that your Lawmatics plan includes file storage access
