Google Calendar
Connect Google Calendar to Quin for automatic meeting attendance, preparation, scheduling, and follow-ups. Quin joins meetings, tracks your schedule, and manages commitments seamlessly.
Connecting Google Calendar to Quin allows your assistant to automatically join scheduled meetings, prepare you with relevant context, and manage your schedule. Quin monitors your calendar to join meetings at the right time, add new meetings when you schedule them, and keep your Meeting notes page synced with your calendar events.
Before you begin
You need a Google account with access to Google Calendar.
How to set it up
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Click Add Integration
- Select Google Calendar from the list
- Click Connect and sign in to your Google account
- Review the permissions Quin requests (read and write access to your calendar events)
- Click Allow to complete the connection
Your Google Calendar integration will now appear as "Active" in your Integrations page.
What to expect
After connecting Google Calendar, Quin automatically monitors your schedule and joins meetings with video conferencing links. Your calendar events appear on your Meeting notes page and in your Daily brief. When you schedule new meetings through Quin Scheduler, they automatically add to your Google Calendar. Before each meeting, Quin provides relevant context like past conversations with attendees. After meetings, Quin creates follow-up tasks with appropriate deadlines based on commitments made during calls.
Examples:
- You schedule a meeting in Google Calendar with a Meet link and Quin joins automatically at the start time
- A client uses Quin Scheduler to book a call with you and it appears on your Google Calendar instantly
- You open your Meeting notes page and see all upcoming meetings from your calendar
- You check your Daily brief and see today's schedule with preparation notes for each meeting
- You commit to sending a proposal by Friday during a meeting and Quin creates a task with that deadline
How it works
Quin uses your Google Calendar to manage your complete meeting workflow:
Automatic meeting attendance - Quin monitors your Google Calendar and automatically joins meetings with video conferencing links at the scheduled time.
Meeting notes page sync - All meetings from your Google Calendar appear on your Meeting notes page, showing upcoming meetings and past meeting recaps.
Daily brief integration - Your calendar events appear in your Daily brief each morning with context and preparation notes.
Automatic scheduling - When someone books a meeting through your Quin Scheduler link, it automatically adds to your Google Calendar with all meeting details and video conferencing link.
Meeting preparation - Before scheduled meetings, Quin surfaces relevant context including past conversations, notes, and CRM details about attendees.
Commitment tracking - When you mention deadlines or commitments during meetings, Quin tracks them against your calendar and creates tasks with appropriate due dates.
Follow-up automation - After meetings end, Quin generates follow-up emails and tasks based on what was discussed and who attended.
Managing the integration
To disconnect Google Calendar:
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Find the Google Calendar integration
- Click Disconnect
- Confirm to stop calendar syncing
Disconnecting stops Quin from accessing your calendar and joining meetings automatically. Existing meeting notes and tasks remain in your account.
