About me

Tell Quin about your role, background, and communication style so it can write emails, draft follow-ups, and respond in a way that sounds like you.

About Me lets you share your professional background and communication preferences with Quin. When Quin knows your role, experience, and how you write, it can draft emails, follow-ups, and other communications that match your tone and style.

How to set it up

  1. Go to Settings > About Me.
  2. Select your Role / Title from the dropdown menu.
  3. Write a Brief bio that includes your current role, company, and relevant professional background. This helps Quin understand your expertise so it can tailor meeting prep, email drafts, and other outputs to your context.
  4. Write a description of your Communication style & tone that reflects how you typically write emails and messages. Include details like your greeting style, sign-off preferences, level of formality, and any habits that define your voice. For example, if you tend to keep emails short and conversational with casual greetings like "Hey," describe that here.
  5. Click Save to apply your changes.

What to expect

Once you save your About Me details, Quin uses your bio and communication style across everything it does for you. Emails Quin drafts will match your tone, whether that means keeping things casual and concise or more formal and detailed. Meeting follow-ups, task descriptions, and other written outputs will reflect your voice instead of sounding generic. You can update your About Me at any time as your role or preferences change, and Quin will adjust accordingly.

Tips for writing your bio and communication style

Your brief bio works best when it includes your current title, company, and a few sentences about your professional background. You do not need to write a full resume. Focus on the details that would help someone understand what you do and what kind of conversations you typically have.

For communication style, think about the emails you send most often. Describe your greeting and sign-off habits, whether you write long or short messages, and how formal or casual your tone tends to be. The more specific you are, the more naturally Quin can match your voice.

Troubleshooting

Quin's emails don't sound like me

  • Review your Communication style & tone to make sure it accurately describes how you write.
  • Add specific details like your preferred greetings, sign-offs, and level of formality.
  • Update your style description if your preferences have changed since you first set it up.

I'm not sure what to write in my bio

  • Start with your current role and company, then add one or two sentences about your background.
  • Focus on details relevant to your day-to-day work and the types of meetings you attend.
  • You can update your bio at any time, so start simple and refine it later.

My role or title changed and Quin seems outdated

  • Go to Settings > About Me and update your Role / Title, bio, and communication style.
  • Changes take effect immediately for all new drafts and outputs going forward.
